What makes a website convert?

A website converts on three things: clarity about what you do and where, immediate proof that you are real, and a way to get in touch that takes under a minute. Most local sites fail on the second and third, not the first — visitors work out the service and then find no reason to trust it.

  • A headline stating what you do, for whom, and where — legible in two seconds.
  • Proof above the fold: reviews, real project photos, named clients, credentials.
  • Phone number visible and tappable on every screen, with a 727 number.
  • Forms of four fields or fewer on first contact.
  • Real photographs of real work. Stock imagery reads as a business with nothing to show.

What is the build process?

The build process runs in four stages with fixed checkpoints — recon, target, execute, confirm — so it is always clear what is happening and what is needed from you. Nothing moves forward on an assumption, and no stage starts before the previous one has been signed off.

  • Recon — what you sell, who buys it, what the competition looks like locally, what the current site does and does not do.
  • Target — sitemap, page structure, keyword and question mapping, wireframes for approval.
  • Execute — design, build, content, integrations, and revision rounds.
  • Confirm — testing, analytics, search console, launch, and a thirty-day performance check.

What happens after launch?

After launch, a custom website moves onto a care plan covering hosting, backups, updates, security, uptime monitoring, and a monthly edit allowance, plus a thirty-day review of real performance data. A site is not finished at launch; launch is when the useful information starts arriving.

Common questions

How many revisions do I get?
Two rounds on the entry tier, three above it — a round being consolidated feedback delivered in one document rather than messages over several weeks. Additional rounds are quoted. Capping rounds rather than individual changes is what keeps the timeline honest.
Will my site be fast?
Core Web Vitals green at launch is part of the deliverable, not an upsell. Beyond user experience, speed now correlates with AI visibility — the fastest pages earn roughly three times more ChatGPT citations — and the Core Web Vitals page lays out that evidence in full.

Do you write the content?
Five pages of copy are included from the middle tier, and full site copy with a messaging session at the top tier. On the entry tier you supply the content and we edit it. Content is usually what delays a build, so it is worth deciding this at the start.

Find out whether your territory is open

One contract per industry per city. If yours is open you can execute at the published price today; if a competitor already holds it, the nearest open market is the one to look at.

The survey is credited in full against the contract if your territory opens and you take it.
